Zusammenfassung:	A check valve (10) includes a housing (12), a hinge pin (14) connected to the housing (12), and a flap (16) with a cam surface (18) having stability points, the flap (16) rotatably connected to the hinge pin (14). The check valve (10) further includes a stop pin (20) connected to the housing (12), a spring (22) mounted on the stop pin (20), the spring (22) having an arm (24), and a detent element (26) mounted on the arm (24) of the spring (22). The spring (22) urges the detent element (26) to be in contact with the cam surface (18) and the flap (16) is stable when the detent element (26) is located at one of the plurality of stability points.
