Zusammenfassung:	A propulsion system (10; 20; 30) and related methods are disclosed. A propulsion system (10; 20; 30) may have a propulsor (2), an energy conversion system (4), an energy storage system (8) that stores electrical energy, and a turbine (6). The propulsor (2) may be in electrical communication with the energy conversion system (4), and the energy conversion system (4) may receive electrical energy from the turbine (6) or the energy storage system (8) and deliver it to the propulsor (2). In this manner, a vehicle may be propelled by the propulsor (2) even when the turbine (6) is not operating.
