Zusammenfassung:There is disclosed a computer-implemented method for detecting a non-integer fractal dimension of a region of tissue comprising receiving a first image of a region of tissue by a processor; receiving a second image of the region of tissue by the processor; calculating a first fractal dimension for the first image of the region of tissue by the processor; and calculating a second fractal dimension for the second image of the region of tissue by the processor; wherein a fractal zone is defined as a polygon consisting of a central square and a first, second, third, and fourth extending triangular region as plotted on a graph of the fractal dimension of the first image of the region of tissue by the fractal dimension of the second image of the region of tissue, wherein if the fractal dimension of at least one of the first fractal dimension and the second fractal dimension are in the fractal zone, the region of tissue is considered to have a non-integer fractal dimension. There is also disclosed an apparatus for carrying out the method.
