Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a rechargeable battery (100) which comprises at least one, preferably a plurality of battery cells (110, 110') that are arranged in frame elements (120, 120'), said frame elements (120, 120') having a main body which consists of a foamed material. Each frame element (120, 120') has a first transverse member (121, 121'), a second transverse member (122, 122') opposite the first transverse member (121, 121'), and two mutually opposed longitudinal members (123, 123'). The first transverse member (121) of a first frame element (120) can be arranged on a second transverse member (122') of an adjacent second frame element (120') in a substantially form-fit manner. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.
