Zusammenfassung:The present invention is to provide a toner that exhibits an excellent balance between heat-resistant shelf stability and low-temperature fixability, and exhibits an excellent hot offset resistance. Disclosed is a toner for developing electrostatic images, comprising an external additive and colored resin particles containing a binder resin, a colorant and softening agents, wherein the colored resin particles contain a monoester compound A represented by the following formula (1) and a monoester compound B represented by the following formula (2) as the softening agents, and a content of the monoester compound A is in the range from 95 to 99% by mass, and a content of the monoester compound B is in the range from 1 to 5% by mass, and wherein a content of the softening agents is in the range from 10 to 30 parts by mass, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin: €ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒFormula (1):€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒR 1 -COO-R 2 wherein, R 1 is a linear alkyl group having 17 to 23 carbons; R 2 is a linear alkyl group having 16 to 22 carbons; and a sum of the carbons of R 1 and R 2 is 39; €ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒFormula (2):€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒR 3 -COO-R 4 wherein, R 3 is a linear alkyl group having 15 to 21 carbons; R 4 is a linear alkyl group having 16 to 22 carbons; and a sum of the carbons of R 3 and R 4 is 35 to 37.
