Zusammenfassung:A system and method are provided for translation of business messages between trading partners. A routing slip is determined based upon information related to the sender and information related to the recipient of the business message. The business message is processed using business data rationalization in accordance with the routing slip, wherein business data rationalization includes parsing an arbitrary syntax of the business message and applying semantically meaningful names to individual data elements or sets of elements of the business message identified by the arbitrary syntax.
