Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure provides a machine tool including: a spindle head on which a tool for processing a base material is mounted; a column which has a front side at which the spindle head is mounted, and moves the spindle head upward and downward; a saddle which has an upper side at which the column is mounted, and moves the column forward and rearward; a transfer unit which has an upper side at which the saddle is mounted, and moves the saddle left and right; a table which is provided at an upper side of the transfer unit and on which a base material to be processed by the spindle head is mounted; and a covering device which shields a non-processing region including the column, the saddle, and the transfer unit from a processing region including the spindle head and the table.
