Zusammenfassung:	A bed protection device (100) is provided and comprises an absorbent pad (11) having first and second lateral edges. The absorbent pad comprises a liquid permeable topsheet (14) having first and second lateral edges, a liquid impermeable backsheet (15) and an absorbent layer (28) which is located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The bed protection device further comprises at least one wing (40). The one or more wings have first and second lateral edges (41, 43). One or more fasteners (45) are disposed at or adjacent to each of the first and second lateral edges of the absorbent pad on the topsheet or the backsheet and/or one or more fasteners are disposed at or adjacent to one or both of the first and second lateral edges of the one or more wings, such that the one or more wings are able to be releasably engaged with the absorbent pad at or adjacent to the first and/or second lateral edge of the absorbent pad on the topsheet or the backsheet by the one or more fasteners.
