Zusammenfassung:	The invention is directed at an automatic teller system for providing at least one banking service to a user operating the system, the system comprising an identification assembly for identifying the user, a user interface assembly for interacting with the user, a data communication module for communicating with a banking server, and a control module, wherein the control module is configured to cooperate with the identification assembly for identification of the user, and wherein the control module is configured to cooperate with the data communication module and with the user interface assembly such as to, dependent on a result of the identification, exchange data with the user and with the banking server for providing the banking service to the user, wherein the identification assembly comprises an identity certificate scanner for receiving picture bearing identity certificate, wherein the identity certificate scanner is configured to authenticate the picture bearing identity certificate and to scan at least a picture included thereon, and wherein the identification assembly further comprises a camera for obtaining an image of the user, and wherein the control module is configured to compare the image with the picture to identify the user by the picture.
