Zusammenfassung:	Described herein are methods for producing a wear layer on a substrate comprising: applying a radiation curable composition comprising an acrylate component to a surface of a substrate; and irradiating the substrate to which said composition has been applied with a source of radiation having a wavelength from 100-280 rim, to form a wear layer. Uses of the products produced by the methods are also described herein.
