| Zusammenfassung: | A fiber connector and related systems are described that include a ferrule (8) for fixing a polariza-tion maintaining (pm) fiber in a central position and ferrule guiding means (1, 16), and a front part (3) and a back part (5), which together lock in a connected state the ferrule (8) together with an elastic element (9) in an axially movable but rotationally fixed position within the connector, and wherein the front part (3) includes first guiding means (11) and second guiding means (12) located at different angular positions along a circumference of the front part (3) and designed to interact with matching guiding means (15, 17) on a mating adaptor (13), with the first guiding means (11) and the second guiding means (12) being different to prevent a 180° ambiguity when connecting the connector to the mating adaptor (13). |
