Zusammenfassung:	A sealing device (1) for sealing an annular gap (21, 22, 23) in connection with structures of a pyrometallurgical furnace (3) to isolate an inner atmosphere of the furnace from the atmosphere residing outside the furnace, for preventing a gas leakage to and from the furnace. The sealing device (1) comprises a tube (5) of refractory fabric. The tube (5) is filled with granular refractory material (6) and placed to cover the annular gap.
