Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a tool, assembly and method for removing a paint roller from a paint roller holder. The tool according to the invention comprises: - a tool handgrip; - a contact surface connected via a tool arm to the handgrip and configured to push a paint roller off a paint roller-holding outer end of the paint roller holder; and - a groove arranged in the arm and configured to receive at least a part of an inclining connecting arm of the paint roller holder located between the paint roller-holding outer end and a handle on another outer end of the paint roller holder, wherein the tool is configured such that a rotating movement of the arm can be combined with sliding of the arm over the connecting arm while the paint roller is being pushed off.
