Zusammenfassung:	A motor vehicle (1) has an engine compartment (3) accommodating a powertrain (4) and at least one strut (7), which is substantially parallel to an advancing longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle (1); the motor vehicle has a safety device (28) configured so as to move the powertrain (4) sideways during an impact, towards the side opposite to the one concerned by the impact; the safety device (28) is provided with a beam (32) having a first end (35), distanced from an end portion (14) of the strut (7) towards the outside of the engine compartment (3), and a second end (36) fixed to the strut (7) in a position which is horizontally beside the powertrain (4); the safety device (28) is also provided with a restraining member (46) fixed to the strut (7) and having a protruding portion (49) arranged behind a wall (50) of the beam (32).
