Air conditioned bed

A method of supplying air to an occupant of a climate controlled bed assembly, the method comprising activating at least one blower in fluid communication with a mattress so as to deliver air to the mattress, the mattress comprising a top side for supporting an occupant and a bottom side generally opposite of the top side, wherein the mattress comprises at least one opening extending through an interior of the mattress, wherein the at least one opening extends to the bottom side of the mattress; routing air discharged by the at least one blower to and through the at least one opening of the mattress; and distributing fluid exiting the at least one opening through at least one flow conditioning member positioned along the top side of the mattress, wherein the at least one flow conditioning member is constructed and configured to transfer the air delivered therein above the mattress toward a seated occupant.
