Zusammenfassung:	A battery pack (1000) for a cordless power tool (10, 20, 30), comprising, a top housing (100) supporting an electronic module (130) and a battery terminal block (110) connected to the electronics module (130), a bottom housing (200) containing a plurality of battery cells (402); and a plurality of sense wires (420) electrically connected between a corresponding cell (420) and the electronics module (130); characterized in that, the plurality of battery cells (402) is constrained between a pair of end caps (405), wherein each end cap (405) includes a plurality of said sense wires (420) extending across an outer surface thereof; and each end cap (405) has a plurality of recesses (406) formed on an inner surface thereof, each recess (406) containing either a cellstrap (410, 710) or a power terminal lead (415) therein.
