Zusammenfassung:A heat pump chiller (100) includes an air heat exchanger (3), a water heat exchanger (4), an operation switching mechanism (2) that switches between a cold water operation and a hot water operation, an engine exhaust heat recovery device (5), a second expansion valve (7) that adjusts a flow of the coolant in a state of liquid flowing toward the engine exhaust heat recovery device (5), a flow direction control mechanism (8) that has a first expansion valve (6) and the second expansion valve (7) disposed in parallel to each other downstream a coolant intake part thereof, a flow adjusting valve (33) that adjusts a flow of the exhaust heat medium flowing through the engine exhaust heat recovery device (5), and a control apparatus (50) that opens the second expansion valve (7) and the flow adjusting valve (33) for the coolant and the exhaust heat medium to flow through the engine exhaust heat recovery device (5) when an aimed value of an amount of exchanged heat in the water heat exchanger (4) is set to be equal to or lower than a predetermined value during the cold water operation.
