Zusammenfassung:	A plug-in hybrid vehicle, according to the invention comprises: an internal combustion engine (22); a motor (MG2); a battery (50) transmitting electric power to and from the motor, and being charged with an external power supply (100), wherein the plug-in hybrid vehicle has a hybrid travel mode and a motor travel mode, the internal combustion engine being operated in the hybrid travel mode, the internal combustion engine being stopped and the hybrid vehicle being driven with the motor output power in the motor travel mode, and the plug-in hybrid vehicle has a first condition and a second condition, the first condition having a range of a state of charge from a preset value to a value after external charging, the second condition having a range of the state of charge lower than preset value, in the first condition, the hybrid vehicle being driven with the hybrid travel mode or the motor travel mode, and the internal combustion engine being operated while the vehicle speed being over a first vehicle speed, in the second condition, the hybrid vehicle being driven with the hybrid travel mode or the motor travel mode, and the internal combustion engine being operated while the vehicle speed being over a second vehicle speed; the first vehicle speed being higher than the second vehicle speed.
