Method for operating a mobile wireless network

The method involves combining useful data into at least a first data unit in a first convergence protocol layer before transmission to a second convergence protocol layer. At least one protocol instance of the first layer is configured depending on the configuration request received from a second radio station to form the first data set(s) from the useful data received from a user and to transmit it via a bearer to a connection control layer. The method involves combining useful data into at least a first data unit, especially a packet data unit, in a first convergence protocol layer in a first radio station before transmission from the first station to a second convergence protocol layer in a second station. At least one protocol instance of the first convergence protocol layer is configured depending on the configuration request received from the second radio station to form the first data set(s) from the useful data received from a user and to transmit it via a bearer to a connection control layer.
