METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOCATING SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL DIALOG

The present invention discloses a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) dialog positioning method and a SIP dialog positioning device. The method includes that: a network element receives an in-dialog SIP message with index information, wherein the index information is used for indicating a position of a dialog at a calling party or a called party; and the network element positions the dialog according to the index information. According to the present invention, the index information for indicating the position of the dialog at the calling party or the called party is carried by the in-dialog SIP message, and the dialog is positioned according to the index information, so that such an implementation mode is simple and high in positioning speed, and the performance of the network element is improved.
