Zusammenfassung:	The present invention is directed to a method of monitoring interstitial lung disease in a patient having interstitial lung disease. The method is based on measuring the level of C-terminal proSP-B or proSP-B in a first and second sample from a patient. Further envisaged is a method of assessing whether a patient suffering from interstitial lung disease responds to a therapy against interstitial lung disease. Moreover, the present invention contemplates a method for prediction whether a patient having interstitial lung disease as likely to show regression of interstitial lung disease.
