Zusammenfassung: | The present invention provides a novel method for producing hexafluoropropylene oxide, which can attain a high HFPO selectivity without using a phase transfer catalyst. The method comprises introducing
(i) hexafluoropropylene,
(ii) a water-soluble and aprotic organic solvent which comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of acetonitrile, glyme and N,N-dimethylformamide, and
(iii) an aqueous solution of an oxidizing agent which is a hypohalite comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite
into a small space having a passage width of 3 cm or less, thereby bringing into contact with each other and reacting hexafluoropropylene with the oxidizing agent to obtain hexafluoropropylene oxide, wherein the reaction time is 0.01 to 1,000 seconds. |
