Zusammenfassung:	A rotary seal arrangement having a rotatable component supported within a machine component (11), the machine component having a seal cartridge-type holding structure (610) for sealing means (31, 32) which acts to seal off a high pressure area between the components to allow the passage of high pressure fluid therebetween, said holding structure (610) supporting spaced sealing members therein to define said high pressure area therebetween. The holding structure is (610) provided with attachment means (611) on its outer edges for attachment with the machine component 11.The holding structure has at least one abutment area (612) between the attachment means, said abutment area comprising a first surface in one plane for abutment with the machine component and a second surface in a different plane to provide a space (S) between the housing structure and the machine component when said first surface is in abutment with the machine component.
