Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a maintenance unit, in particular a maintenance unit for oil-lubricated rolling-element bearings and/or plain bearings, for checking the state of oil bearing or an oil bearing maintenance unit, for example for use as a water alarm unit or an alarm unit for warning of metal abrasion or contaminated oil, which should enable both simple detection of water in the oil and simple removal thereof from the oil. Said aim is achieved in that, below a sump and/or the stilling basin of an oil circuit, a collecting container (1) having an inlet (3) from the sump and/or the stilling basin is arranged, which collecting container preferably has an outlet (4) and at least one sight glass (2).
