The present invention provides a method and apparatus for processing menu layout. comprising: obtaining a moving direction and moving acceleration value of user equipment; judging whether the moving acceleration value of the user equipment exceeds a preset first threshold; adjusting the menu layout of the user equipment according to the obtained moving direction of the user equipment in the case that the moving acceleration value of the user equipment exceeds the first threshold, wherein the menu layout is the arrangement of one or more icons on one or more pages. According to the method and apparatus for processing menu layout, the problem in the related art that the icons need to be dragged one by one by hand when moved which is time-consuming, cannot determine the arrangement position accurately and affects the user experience is solved, thereby improving the user experience effect.
