Method for making a knitted article on a flat knitting machine with independently driven thread guides travelling in a reverse direction

A method of producing a knitted article on a flat knitting machine having an independently-driven yarn guide executing reverse movement. Specifically, the flat knitting machine comprises at least one first needle bed in which needles are arranged expelled by at least one knitting system, at least one independently-driven first yarn guide, and at least one first knitting system, wherein the one or more yarn guides and the one or more knitting systems are movable parallel to the longitudinal direction of the needle bed, characterized in that a. loops of the knitted article are formed by the first knitting system and the first yarn guide, by the first knitting system being moved in the knitting direction is expelled at the needle and thereby thread is inserted into the expelled needle, b. then, when passing needle expelled through the second knitting system, the first yarn guide is moved opposite to the kniting direction to a last needle position and then the thread is inserted into the needle, wherein the thread is inserted by using the first knitting system at the last needle position.
