Zusammenfassung:Inter alia, a computer implemented method is disclosed. The method comprises controlling an HVAC system using a thermostat, wherein the thermostat controls the HVAC system according to a setpoint temperature schedule. The method comprises adjusting a setpoint temperature based on manual input received from a user; comparing the adjusted setpoint temperature based on the manual input received from the user to a current setpoint of the setpoint temperature schedule; using the comparison to determine that the setpoint temperature corresponds to an efficient energy usage of the HVAC system; generating a visual icon corresponding to determining the efficient energy usage of the HVAC system; and displaying the visual icon on an electronic display to signal the efficient energy usage of the HVAC system. Also disclosed is a system, comprising a thermostat comprising an electronic display and a processor. Therein, the processor of the thermostat is configured to perform such a method.
