Hemostatic clipping device

A tissue clipping apparatus, comprising a flexible insertion member extending from a proximal end portion to a distal end portion, wherein the proximal end portion during use remains outside a body accessible to a user and the distal end portion is inserted into the body, a clip including a first and a second clip arm, each clip arm having a tab at its proximal end portion, a capsule, the capsule receiving a proximal portion of the clip and comprising first windows configured to be engaged by the tabs for locking the clip close, a bushing provided at the distal end portion of the flexible insertion member, wherein the capsule is maintained in engagement with the bushing by a retainer before release, wherein the retainer comprises two spring arms, each of which engages a corresponding second window of the capsule, and a control wire extending through the flexible insertion member.
