Zusammenfassung:	An evolved Node B (eNB) for allocating resources for a device-to-device (D2D) link between User Equipments (UEs) is described. The eNB includes a processor and instructions stored in memory that is in electronic communication with the processor. The eNB allocates resources for a D2D signal. The D2D signal is transmitted or received by the UE in uplink spectrum in a case of Frequency Division Duplexing (FDD) or in uplink subframes in a case of Time Division Duplexing (TDD).
