Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a hydraulic assembly with a variable-speed drive engine and a hydrostatic extruding machine driven by the drive engine. The device has a temperature sensing device through which a pressure medium temperature of an internal leak near a leakage gap is detected, so that deviations from acceptable operating ranges of the device or the extruding machine can be identified or determined as a function of the detected pressure medium temperature. In addition, a method for controlling the hydraulic assembly is disclosed.
