The conveying-bookbinding line extends along the folded sheet feeders and penetrates through the bookbinding station. The main collecting chain and the auxiliary collecting chain are each provided with chain knots, chain tops and linkage pieces, wherein the chain tops and the linkage pieces are fixed to the chain knots. The main collecting chain and the auxiliary collecting chain extend in parallel at least in the area of the folded sheet feeders, the auxiliary collecting chain turns downwards from the conveying-bookbinding line after leaving the folded sheet feeders, and therefore only the main collecting chain extends along the conveying-bookbinding line in the area of the bookbinding station. The main collecting chain is driven by a motor. The auxiliary collecting chain is driven by front chain wheels and rear chain wheels, the front chain wheels and the rear chain wheels are connected with one another, the front chain wheels are arranged in the auxiliary collecting chain in a matched mode, and the rear chain wheels are arranged in the upper section of the rear part of the main collecting chain in a matched mode, wherein the main collecting chain moves towards the bookbinding station.
