LIGHT STRIP SYSTEM

The invention relates to a light strip system (1), comprising an elongated support rail (3) that can be fastened to a wall or ceiling by means of a fastening means (3c), at least one lighting means (4), electrical components (5) for operating the lighting means, and an optical system (6) for deflecting and/or scattering the light emitted by the lighting means (4), wherein the support rail (3) is designed to connect to the lighting means (4), the electrical components (5), and the optical system (6). The invention provides an improved light strip system (1) that has increased variability and that is especially economical and easy to install in that at least one single support rail (3), a lighting means (4), electrical components (5), and an optical system (6) together form a modular light strip element (2) that can be installed in a self-supporting manner, such that lighting can be realized by means of just a single light strip element (2) when said single light strip element (2) is supplied with electrical power, and in that the light strip element (2) also comprises connecting elements (7), such that two or more light strip elements (2) can be connected in such a way that lighting can be realized by means of all light strip elements (2) connected to each other when just one light strip element (2) is supplied with electrical power.
