Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus including: a communication interface for receiving a multimedia data item associating captured multimedia data with metadata; at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code; wherein the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to: maintain reference metadata for a multimedia device (610); and receive the multimedia data item from the multimedia device (620). The apparatus is further caused to determine the associated metadata from the received multimedia data item (630); compare the associated metadata with the reference metadata to provide authenticity information (640); and validate the captured multimedia data based on the authenticity information (650).
