Zusammenfassung: | A hybrid vehicle 10 according to one of embodiments of the present invention applies, to a drive axel 53, a torque equal to a user requesting torque determined based on an accelerator operation amount AP, by controlling a torque generated by an engine 20 and a torque generated by an electric motor while adjusting a power generated by the engine in such a manner that an engine efficiency becomes optimum (i.e., while operating the engine 20 at an optimum engine operation point). Further, the vehicle 10 controls an electric power generated by a first motor generator MG1 by varying the power generated by the engine based on a remaining capacity SOC of the battery 63 so as to charge the battery 63. In addition, the vehicle controls the air-fuel of the engine to a rich air-fuel ratio when a predetermined condition is not satisfied, and to a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio when the predetermined condition is satisfied. When the air-fuel ratio of the engine is controlled to be the rich air-fuel ratio, the vehicle 10 sets an upper limit (engine output power upper limit) of the power generated by the engine 20 to a value smaller than a value when the air-fuel ratio of the engine is controlled to be the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. |
