Rim geometry of a coin sorting device

The present invention relates to a coin sorter wherein a flexible rim (606) is used for engaging a coin (706) to be sorted and bring the coin in abutment with a circular border (620) of the coin sorter in a path across a plurality of circularly arranged coin openings.
