Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an axial ventilator wheel (1), comprising a wheel body (2) having a hollow cylindrical hub (4) and a plurality of ventilator blades (6) which are distributed around the circumference and connected to the hub (4). Each ventilator blade (6) extends in an axial direction in the area of a blade base (8) connected to the hub (4), and is inclined in a peripheral direction between an inflow side (10) and an outflow side (12) of the hub (4). The hub (4) is shortened with respect to the axial hub length thereof at its inflow side (10) in a peripheral direction between the blade bases (8) of the adjacent ventilator blades (6), respectively, by means of recesses (16) around the edges.
