Method and apparatus for providing intrinsic information in mobile communication terminal

A method and apparatus for providing information stored within a mobile communication terminal for easy recognition is provided. The method of providing intrinsic information for a mobile communication terminal, wherein intrinsic information comprises at least one of a production date, model name, serial number, and electronic serial number (ESN) of the mobile communication terminal, the method comprising: verifying whether intrinsic information about the mobile communication terminal is stored in RFID tag; receiving, if intrinsic information is stored in RFID tag, a read signal transmitted from RFID reader by RFID tag; and transmitting a response signal from the RFID tag to the RFID reader, wherein the response signal comprising the intrinsic information about the mobile communication terminal. Therefore, even if the mobile communication terminal is turned off, information about the terminal stored in the RFID tag is read by an RFID reader, so that it is easy to verify and recognize the information about the terminal.
