The transmission device 10 performs authentication based on authentication information that is transmitted from the power receiving device 20, and authorizes the power supply in a case where the power receiving device 20 is in the transmission area and the authentication has succeeded. The transmission device 10 performs authentication based on authentication information that is transmitted from the power receiving device 20, authorizes the power supply in a case where the power receiving device 20 is outside the transmission area and the authentication has succeeded, and does not authorize the power supply in a case where the power receiving device 20 is outside the transmission area and the authentication has not succeeded.
