Zusammenfassung:The furniture (1) has a fixed piece (3) and a movable piece (4) whose edge regions (11,12) form a narrow gap with gap width of maximum 3 mm in a basic position and form a wide gap (8) with gap width (B8) of minimum 15 mm in an operative position (A). The movable piece is moved from operative position into basic position in driving direction (y') and is moved from the basic position into the operative position in driving out direction. The edge regions are formed so that jamming of a body of a person is limited by harmless, maximum clamping force and avoided.
