Zusammenfassung:	The device (1) has a torque sensor unit for detecting a torque applied on a steering shaft of a motor vehicle, where the torque sensor unit has a magnetic sensor (11). The magnetic sensor is formed as surface mounted device-component which is arranged at a printed circuit board (28) of the device. A flux guide (32,33) is provided with a flap which is arranged with the magnetic sensor in a mutually overlapped manner. The printed circuit board has a recess for the flap of the flux guide, where the recess is formed under the magnetic sensor. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a torque sensor unit for detecting a torque applied on a steering shaft of the vehicle.
