Zusammenfassung:	A webcasting method and apparatus is provided that enables webcasting at speeds much faster than playback speed. The webcasting method and apparatus caches all of the audio tracks or video clips in a webcast, both on the receiving component and on any relay servers, to decouple the playing or transmitting processes from the receiving process. The webcasting method and apparatus also permits files to be webcast in their original encoded audio or video format, without any degradation and with all in formation contained in their tags. The files can then be downloaded directly from the webcast receivers cache.
