METHOD FOR TRANSMISSION OF ADDRESS, DIAGNOSIS AND/OR CONFIGURATION INFORMATION, INFRASTRUCTURE APPARATUS AND DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS

The method involves assigning address, diagnosis and/or configuration information to an infrastructure device e.g. switch (21). The information is signalized as superimposed coded symbol sequence and/or as amplitude, frequency and/or phase-modulated superimposed signal by a predetermined LED. The predetermined LED is identified by a diagnostic apparatus e.g. tablet-PC (31), based on coding of the sequence and/or modulation of the signal. The identified LED is optically scanned by a camera, where the information is determined from the scanned coded sequence and/or from the modulated signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an infrastructure device (2) a diagnostic apparatus. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Übertragung von Adreß-, Diagnose- bzw. Konfigurationsinformationen zwischen einem an ein Kommunikationsnetz angeschlossenen Infrastrukturgerät und einem Diagnosegerät, bei dem die Adreß-, Diagnose- bzw. Konfigurationsinformationen dem an das Kommunikationsnetz angeschlossenen Infrastrukturgerät zugeordnet sind. Die Adreß-, Diagnose- bzw. Konfigurationsinformationen werden als überlagerte codierte Symbolsequenz durch zumindest eine vorgegebene Leuchtdiode zusätzlich zu angezeigten Geräte- oder Kommunikationsstatusinformationen signalisiert. Die zumindest eine vorgegebene Leuchtdiode, welche die Adreß-, Diagnose- bzw. Konfigurationsinformationen signalisiert, wird anhand einer Codierung der die Adreß-, Diagnose- bzw. Konfigurationsinformationen umfassenden Symbolsequenz durch ein Diagnosegerät identifiziert. Die zumindest eine identifizierte Leuchtdiode wird mittels einer Kamera des Diagnosegeräts optisch abgetastet. Aus einer abgetasteten codierten Symbolsequenz werden die Adreß-, Diagnose- bzw. Konfigurationsinformationen durch das Diagnosegerät ermittelt.
