Zusammenfassung:The invention relates an electronic ballast (52) for an illumination device, comprising a first and a second supply voltage connection (51N, 51L) for receiving a supply voltage from the illumination device. Said electronic ballast also comprises an integrating circuit (56) which is coupled between the first and the second supply voltage connection (51N, 51L), and a differentiating circuit (58) which is coupled to the integrating circuit (56). The integrating circuit is designed to produce an output signal (A1) which characterises a direct voltage component of the supply voltage. Said differentiating circuit (58) is designed to produce an output signal (A2) which characterises control signals modulated on the supply voltage.
