A medical information recording apparatus includes: a control section that controls moving image recording of a medical image from a medical apparatus; a first recording processing section that records the medical image in a first recording region over an entire first period under the control of the control section; and a second recording processing section that, when a signal based on an operation by a user is provided in the first period, records a copy of the medical image in a second recording region in a predetermined second period before and after a timing of the operation by the user, under the control of the control section, and the medical information recording apparatus enables easy recording/reproduction of only a desired part from a medical image that has been recorded for a relatively long period of time.
