Zusammenfassung:	The franking machine (1) has an ink printing unit to which flat material is pressed by a pressing unit. The pressing unit comprises separable and interchangeable box-shaped component (6). The security housing comprises upper casing (2) and lower casing (5) for enclosing the ink printing unit and control unit. The lower casing is provided at the front side and bottom side of the franking machine so that all the ink-polluted components are arranged in the non-secure areas of the franking machine.
