Zusammenfassung: | Producing polysulfone polymers, comprises reacting a component A comprising at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound consisting of 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl and/or bisphenol S with a component B comprising at least one bis-(haloaryl) sulfone, preferably 4,4'-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone, in the presence of a base, which is reacted with water to form a reaction mixture, where 0.95-0.99 or 1.1-5.1 equivalents of component A is used based on 1 equivalents of the component B. The reacting step is performed in a solvent comprising N-alkylated pyrrolidone. Producing polysulfone polymers, comprises reacting a component A comprising at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound consisting of 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl and/or bisphenol S with a component B comprising at least one bis-(haloaryl) sulfone, preferably 4,4'-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone, in the presence of a base, which is reacted with water to form a reaction mixture, where 0.95-0.99 equivalents of component A or 1.1-5.1 equivalents of component A is used based on 1 equivalents of the component B. The reacting step is performed in a solvent comprising N-alkylated pyrrolidone, and the reaction mixture is added to at least one entraining agent having a boiling point of greater than 130[deg] C.
