Zusammenfassung: | A near field navigation system is equipped with a first moving object navigating relative to a second moving object, said first moving object comprising a user segment (4) of said near field navigation system having at least one receiver (40), at least one user antenna (41, 42, 43) connected to said receiver (40) and mounted to a user structure (20) of said first moving object, a processing unit (44) connected to said receiver (40), and an additional position detecting unit (46). Said second moving object comprising a base segment (3) of said near field navigation system having at least four transmitters (30, 32, 34, 36), wherein each transmitter is connected to an associated base antenna (31, 33, 35, 37) and wherein the base antennas (31, 33, 35, 37) are provided on a base structure (12) of said second object and are positioned relative to each other at known distances. Said at least one receiver (40) and said at least four transmitters (30, 32, 34, 36) form together distance measuring units and the processing unit (44) is adapted to calculate the relative three-dimensional position data of the user structure (20) with respect to the base structure (12) on the basis of distance data obtained from said distance measuring units and of position data obtained from said additional position detecting unit (46). |
