Zusammenfassung:	The device (10) has an internal compartment (2) that is arranged to contain valuable articles e.g. banknotes, and an opening (3) of overall rectangular form. A lid (5) is placed and articulated so as to reach inside of the internal compartment. The compartment is arranged with a set of sidewalls (9) around an axis that is approximately parallel with a clevis pin of the lid. A mechanical click and ratchet work allows a handle (6) to swivel between transport and opening positions when the lid is closed, and to lock the handle in the opening position when the lid starts to open. An independent claim is also included for a cassette.
