Zusammenfassung:	The transmitting device has an energy storage unit (15) that is provided in the position-measuring device (10). The energy storage unit is charged in the charge mode through the line pair (110) and is provided to supply energy to the position-measuring device in the communication mode. A charge unit (130) and the switching units (120.1,120.2) are arranged in the control unit (100). The switching unit is provided to connect the charge unit to the line pair in two-pole manner during charge mode. An independent claim is included for method for transmitting energy and data between control unit and position-measuring device.
