Zusammenfassung:	The connector (1) has a centering unit for centering the connector and comprising a centering sleeve (4) that extends along entire length of a compensator (2) in a mounted state, where the compensator comprises bellows. The centering sleeve is formed in two pieces and mounted by mounting aids (6) i.e. circlips, where a freedom of movement of one of the mounting aids or the compensator is confined in an axial direction. A flange (7) is provided on two sides of the compensator. Seals (10) are sealed between a pipe to be connected and the connector after the mounting of the connector. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a pipe connector.
